Nope, No way!

Hi Everyone,

    I refuse to believe that my number one baby started Kindergarten this past Thursday. It was a good thing I wasn't there to put him on the bus. I think we both would have cried, and he would have missed his first day - because I wouldn't have been able to let him go. Nicholas did very well on his first day of School. He told me he loved Kindergarten. I hope this excitement continues throughout his educational career. He is such a smart kid. I just hope the teachers challenge him and make sure he enjoys School. We downloaded a book on my Nook that they read on Friday. He likes the bus and knows how to behave on the bus and at School. Chris and I had a very stern talk with him about getting in trouble. I hope it works. 

Summer went by too quick! I cannot believe how fast it went.  I am usually itching to go back by the middle of July, but that month went by so quick. I think it was because Nicholas started to be fun again, and we were enjoying our Summer. I am hoping to squeak in a few more Zoo trips on the weekends, before it gets too cold.

Jacob is doing good. I think he will miss big brother, but the separation will be good for both. Sometimes, Nicholas gets tired of having big brother hang around him all the time.

2nd cracked screen of the week

Hi Everyone,

        I saw the word WOW written twice today, so I thought I would use it as a title. Everything around here has been WOW.

We finally made it to the Cleveland Zoo last Friday. Nicholas and Jacob loved it! We had a really good time. We went with my friend Tania and her kids. We will probably go back for Boo at the Zoo.

Nicholas is almost a kindergartener. This coming Thursday, will be his first day. We are excited and nervous at the same time. We went on a school tour yesterday, and Nicholas was in a mood. The tour wasn't the greatest experience. I am hoping the drop off on Tuesday is a little better. Nicholas was great today for my Mom.

Jacob has been OK. He is really attached me. He senses and knows that I am going back to work. The water works have been running in the morning. Thankfully, when the schedule is in full force, he won't see me in the morning. My Jacob has been very emotional and so has Nicholas. It has been a very hard week.

Next week will be tough. I have been going to meetings and my classroom all this week. Next week, I go to school and get my class list and schedule. My first day is Wednesday. They just got another 2nd grade teacher yesterday. We are a little behind on everything at school. We will be OK, just busy. We are also getting family pictures done. It is the  busiest week of the year. I am hoping for a quiet Labor Day weekend!

Hi Everyone,

     I thought our playground play was over. I took the boys to the playground last Sunday, and they didn't seem like they were having fun. Jacob was OK, but Nicholas didn't seem as interested, like he used to be. I guess we did too many playgrounds last year. We will still go to them, but it seems like Nicholas is bored by them. We haven't gone too many times this year. Now, that our Summer is slowing down, I take them every Sunday or once during the week. Last week, I did take them to the ultimate playground. Nicholas LIKED that! I hit the jackpot with that one. It has a little houses, 3 or 4 play areas, and a sandbox. Nicholas loved the Sandbox. We will go back to that one.

Jacob is doing good. We are about to get ready for Speech therapy. He is having attachment issues, and it is going to get worse when I go back to School. So, I am calling the doctor. During the week (when school is in session) he is fine. It is Saturday mornings when I am home, he totally loses it. This past week at night, has been this way. He is not tired. Jacob hates when Mommy makes dinner and eats dinner. We really need help with this. I am hoping the doctor can help me and or Jacob.

Nicholas has been really good for the past two weeks. We didn't start the Summer off very well, but now we are OK. I think he is really nervous about starting School. He will be fine, but I am sure there will be  a few tears.

This has to be short, because I need to get Jacob up from his nap, and take Nicholas over to Maryann's. Have a good week!! Mandy
